Henry Youth Lacrosse

Join us for Santa’s Sixes!

Henry Youth Lacrosse is hosting a local, community lacrosse tournament called “Santa’s Sixes” on December 21st at Union Grove High School Stadium in McDonough.

The purpose of this event is to bring our lacrosse community together around the holidays to celebrate our sport and support the youth program. Registration is open to youth to adult players (including boys/men and girls/women).

Middle School, High School and Adult Players may self-organize teams or register as “Free Agents” to be assigned to existing or new teams. Elementary School players will be assigned to rosters by coaches to create “fair and competitive” teams.

NEW Winter Box Program!

Henry Youth Lacrosse is offering a new Box Lacrosse Program this winter. If you aren’t familiar with “Box” (also known as “indoor lacrosse”) is played on a hockey rink (we will be playing at the inline hockey rink at Avalon Park in McDonough) with smaller goals and less players (typically 6v6).

Box Lacrosse is an excellent option for beginner and experienced players to develop faster decision making, better stick handling, and more creative play. It’s also a lot of fun! We are registering players from youth to adult for this winter program and will be scheduling weekly pickup-style games during December and January. Click on the “Play Box” button below for more information or to register for this program.

About Henry Youth Lacrosse

Henry Youth Lacrosse (HYL) is non-profit youth sports association and 501(c)(3) charitable organization that was created to increase awareness, interest and participation in the sport of lacrosse among boys and girls in grades K-8 in Henry County (Georgia) and surrounding areas.

Why? Because lacrosse is FUN to play! It’s known as “The Fastest Game on Two Feet” for a reason – it’s fast, physical, and non-stop action from beginning to end. It’s also a sport that has room for everyone – with large team sizes, on-the-fly substitutions, and a variety of positions to play – every kid on the team gets A LOT of playing time. And that’s the point of youth sports, right? To PLAY!

Almost every child who tries lacrosse wants to signup to play, and more than 95% of players who play come back for another season. If your child hasn’t found their sport yet, it’s worth giving lacrosse a try. Trust us, they’re going to LOVE IT!
